About The Hydrographic Society of America - Houston Chapter
Membership in The Hydrographic Society of America - Houston Chapter (THSOA-HC) is open to any individual or organization with an interest in surveying in hydrospace. No formal qualifications are required. The membership period is from January 1 through December 31.
The mission of The Hydrographic Society of America (THSOA) is to promote education in hydrography.
THSOA-HC serves as the focal point for activities in the Houston Area. The THSOA-HC membership does not include The Hydrographic Society (International) benefits or memberships. There are other local chapters in West Coast and Louisiana areas. THSOA-HC serves Houston, Texas and surrounding areas. THSOA-HC provides the following: local meetings on a regular monthly basis, a THSOA - HC Newsletter, and social activities for its members and the members of the Student Chapter of THSOA at Texas A&M Galveston and Corpus Christi.
Members of THSOA-HC are invited to attend local monthly meetings and are invited to attend its social events. While non-members are encouraged to visit the Houston Chapter meetings, persons attending on a regular basis are encouraged to join THSOA-HC in support of the chapter's efforts on behalf of the local hydrographic community.
THSOA-HC is an all volunteer organization, we have no paid staff.
