The Hydrographic Society of America - Houston Chapter (THSOA-HC) would like to invite you to join us for our October Technical Meeting.

Subject: Extreme Weather Forecasting - Hurricane Harvey

Speakers:  Mike Arellano, Meteorologist -Weather Solutions Expert at Weather Decision Technologies Inc.

Bio: Mike Arellano is Weather Decision Technologies’ (WDT) Weather Solution Expert for the marine and energy sectors.  In this role, his responsibilities include new business development, marketing, sales and implementation of meteorological support services. With a background in marine and tropical meteorology, he has over 25 years of experience in marine weather forecasting - - 15 years as a front-line operational forecaster.

Mike’s previous experience includes Weather Research Center, ImpactWeather and StormGeo.  He has been with WDT since 2013.  In 1987, he received a Bachelor’s degree in Meteorology from the University of St. Thomas in Houston.  Originally from Annapolis, Md., Mike, his wife and two daughters resides in Houston.  


 

There is no charge to attend this event, however all we ask is that you take the time to register online in order for us to give the event venue an accurate head count.
